progress

Well I'm still at it. Here's the latest picture of the bathroom. I do a little each day and have been putting out lots of trash. The toilet and the sinks are gone, but the bathtub remains just around the corner.

Well, the toilet is gone. Out in the back yard. Maybe I can sell it.

Plumbing. .

Well, I started out trying to put in a new cold water supply valve. I bought a new one because the old one would not completely shut off the cold water to the hall bath. I must have over heated the new one when I was soldering it in place. It leaked from the body of the valve. I think the solder I used was too high a temperature. I went back to Lowe's and explained my problem to a plumbing expert and got some good advice.

I soldered in the new valve and things are holding just fine. I tossed the old solder in the trash and now have to clean up the place. What an ordeal.

Now I can concentrate on removing the toilet and sinks. I got some good news about a double sink countertop and double cabinets that are only 18 inches deep instead of the usual 22 inches. I can also get a countertop with couble sinks and place the sinks fairly close to save on my plumbing afforts later. I have lots of tile and other scrap in the trash and hope to put out more by Monday morning.

I have a couple more computer job behind me. A bit more to do later this week, but I can concentrate on the bathroom renovations for a while today. We're goingto visit Gagan, an former coworker tonight. We want to see thier new baby. Their first, a little girl.

Evelyn's foot and leg are still hurting her and she goes back to the chiropractor Monday afternoon.
